The Practice of Setting Soulful Intentions

I dreamed of opening my wings wide and take flight. To soar in the big wild world. To fly to the beat of my own heart. To expand and align to what I've been feeling within me for so long.

Soar.

It is the word I've chosen for this year. A mantra. A compass. An anchor. A reminder. It's not just a simple word. Its aim is to guide me throughout the year. Having been in the cocoon I know that I am finally ready to expand in a magnificent way. A guiding word never comes by chance, it's coming to you because it's what you're seeking. It's what you've been calling without even knowing. You are ready for what your soul is whispering to your heart. Sometimes it comes through intuition, inner guidance or a big slap in the face. What matters is that you listen and act on it.

Soulful intentions.

The practice of setting intention is an invitation to pause, reflect and connect to ourselves. We live on autopilot most of the time and barely take the time to connect with our emotions, feelings and desires. We just go through the motions and routines of our daily lives. Putting all of our attention to the outside world without much awareness that we rob ourselves from experiencing a deeper, truer, divine connection with our own soul. It's about not reacting to life but to create from a sacred place that is connected to your deepest desires.

It's about creating a base. A solid ground to flourish. We don't always have control over all things in life. Shit happens and we have to deal with it. That's one of the reason, having soulful intentions can help you through darker times or unexpected moments. For example, if you want to bring a sense of peace to your life this year, you can let this word guide you through all kinds of adventures. It becomes your anchor when life gets overwhelming and stressful. It becomes your reminder and background mantra when you have to take decisions.

It's about creating a space to pause, connect and reflect. To live with intention. That's my aim for this Sunday's workshop. To bring you back to your heart so you can listen to its whispers and let it guide you to what matters most to you.

By mixing different practices and tools like guided meditations, visualizations, yoga and journaling, it connects body, mind and soul. Everything is interconnected. By practicing heart openers on the yoga mat, it creates space and open us up to life and possibilities on an energetic level. By moving your body, listening to your breath, you connect to yourself, which free the mind from all the chatter and lead to a soul connection.

Still a few spots open for Sunday's workshop on Soulful Intentions for the New Year.
